Resilience

(2-hour or 4-hour)

 

This virtual workshop focuses on the power of resilience. We start by reflecting on a story of overcoming an adversity.  Participants use their stories to identity the emerging individual and collective strengths of the group.

Then in breakout groups work together to co-create a statement of resilience which is then shared with the wider group. Finally, an individual action plan that incorporates their resilience and strengths is created.

More than an exploration of wellbeing and resilience, we will look at what is important for you as an individual so you have clarity.

This workshop comes with a virtual optional 6-week follow up resilience training.

Unconscious Bias

(4 or 8 x 2-hour sessions)

 

This virtual training enables open and frank conversations about unconscious bias. It provides a non-judgmental approach aimed at understanding how unconscious bias operates in the workplace. You will discover what unconscious bias is (and is not) and learn how it can undermine organisational goals and strategies.

Research shows that de-biasing individuals can be effective only when it includes the following conditions: awareness of the possibility of bias. 

This training explores how we can overcome our unconscious biases to improve decision making and professional relationships, and to create more open, inclusive and effective organisations.

How Might We?

Every problem is an opportunity for design. By framing your challenge as a "how might we" question, you’ll set yourself up for an innovative solution.

We will work with you to explore how you might grow, take stock, explore new avenues. All problems and challenges will benefit from this workshop. 

We will work with you to create a bespoke workshop meeting your specific outcomes so that you are able to gauge the needs of your team, clients, or others in an appreciative, curious, and inquisitive manner. This results in community co-creation giving everyone ownership of the results. The goal is to find opportunities for exploration.

After the impact of the pandemic was clear we invested a great deal of time and resource in order to explore avenues for facilitating events online, virtually and in a blended environment.

The result of almost a year's investigation has led to an innovative facilitation approach that is proving to be powerful, effective, and creating a positive visceral change in those who attend our events. To date, all of the events we have facilitated have received an average satisfaction score of 9.2/10, with some events receiving as high as 9.8/10.

For any elements of ‘teach’ we incorporate active learning cycles which adult learning theory shows deepen the integration of the knowledge shared. Ian served in the British Army for 7 years. He now works as a mediator. Ian has a Masters in Computer Systems and Networking and is currently studying for Legal Masters in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. He has a real passion for travel and health and has a desire to be of service to others.

Gaetan Richard

Gaetan is a coach, teacher, project manager, author, passionate about team dynamics, leadership and problem solving. I have worked most of my adult life in video game creation, 3D animation, software development and IT. Jabeen Zaidi

Jabeen is a teacher with over 20 years experience. She has taught across all age ranges including adults, and is currently a teacher in UKs 4th largest college. She has worked with young people in alternative provision supporting moves from mainstream education and pupils newly arrived to the UK. Jabeen is an active volunteer in her community and holds various roles including being Education Lead on migrant family sponsorship and being board member of a women’s sports club.
